Jobs and modern day relationsips

Change is essential, they argue. That’s how we transform into someone better. The job we had been working for a long time now suddenly starts to seem boring because it’s monotonous. They reason, ‘I am not able to explore myself any further’. The relationship that lasted for so long comes to a dead end because of the same reason. They say It’s not like before. We’ve lost the spark and the charm we used to have.
I find deep interconnection between these two entirely different matters these days. Like people upgrade themselves to a new job and are always in search of ‘better than the current one’. When they see a good opportunity, they immediately move to a new one. Modern relationships seem to have deeply inspired by this trend too. People are always in search of someone better. And immediately when one finds someone with better qualities, they don’t hesitate to give a resignation letter. And what’s more, they even want to the connection with the past job for future recommendations. And, sadly as a backup plan too if the new one doesn’t work out. The funniest part, the old job is happily ready to accept every criterion.
So, it’s been a competition now basically. For your relationship to work out, you have to constantly keep upgrading yourself. You have to provide great facilities so that people don’t seek other jobs. You have to be better than others, constantly learn new skills. Fight for your rights. Forget love! Love? Did I even mention love here? It’s no longer about love now. We’ve gone past that thing now. It is about competition, it’s a race for you to maintain your relationship. You take a little break on giving effort, and magic! They’re gone within seconds. The world is upgrading so you have no choice but to be in the race.
It’s funny that relationships have become this complicated. The only pure form of love, which was supposed to be spontaneous has seriously been polluted by the modern-day diseases like inferiority complex, unhealthy competitions, and fake love. Now it’s our choice if we want to go with the flow and run along with the competition, or sit, discuss and built trust. Avoid making relationships complicated, have faith in each other and believe that seeking jobs and relationships are not the same thing.
